The tradition
Al Sadu
Al Sadu is the weaving of the Bedouin of the Arabian Peninsula, carried on above all by older Bedouin women. It is woven from camel hair, goat hair and sheep wool in black, white, brown and beige, in geometric bands that went into tents, cushions, rugs and camel saddle decoration.
UNESCO lists it twice: Al Sadu of the United Arab Emirates, inscribed in 2011, and the Al Sadu weaving shared by Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar. Its motifs follow the land around it: dunes, palm trees, camels, falcons and the dallah coffee pot.
Our designs are not copies of any one country's rugs. Each is re-drawn from heritage rug motifs for the scale of a car floor.
Cut to your car, or in a universal size
Choose your make, model and year and the set is cut to the floor of that car. The universal sizes need no model: V1 for a top-hung accelerator pedal, V2 for a floor-mounted one.
