The tradition
Medallion and corner
Persian weavers call the classic layout lachak-toranj: a medallion in the centre of the field and a quarter of it in each corner, framed by borders. The Ardabil Carpet in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, with its date of 1539 to 1540 woven into it, is the oldest dated carpet in the world.
In 2010 UNESCO added the carpet weaving of Fars and of Kashan to its list of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity. In Fars the weavers are nomadic women who work without a drawn design, so according to UNESCO no two of their carpets are the same.
Our designs are not copies of any one country's rugs. Each is re-drawn from heritage rug motifs for the scale of a car floor.
Cut to your car, or in a universal size
Choose your make, model and year and the set is cut to the floor of that car. The universal sizes need no model: V1 for a top-hung accelerator pedal, V2 for a floor-mounted one.
